Only transfer from your bank to the international investment companies to which you have been recommended.
Only transfer your money to a company with a history of at least 100 years and at least 30 Billion US$ under management.
Be especially careful with hedge funds. Only invest in them if you have a capital guarantee from one of the world's top ten banks
Your broker will give you a bank account number for the company they are recommending. You look this company up in an International phone directory. Ask them the account number for the receipt of your currency. If the number they give you matches the number your broker gave you the go ahead and hopefully you will have a profitable relationship.

Is this paranoid behavior? It may be but the bottom line for most people is that money did not come easily and we do not want to be cheated out of it.
